Social Health Education Program

Landmark Group, under its CSR initiatives with Apollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation (ATNF) as the implementation partner, has embarked on a journey to spread awareness on NCDs. “Life Ahead” programme is one such initiative, which envisions to impart awareness with health education as a tool. With Social Health Education (SHE) as the main objective, this programme systematically provides information on NCDs. The primary target group under the programme are household women in Urban Slums, who have been identified “at-risk” of NCDs. Health information is delivered to the target groups in a coordinated way with well-planned sessions by using audiovisual content. The targeted audience is engaged for around a month, with the inclusion of activities to reinforce health learning and healthy behavior. The participants are assessed for their learnings before and after each session, to evaluate the knowledge gain.

With the growing risks of Diabetes in the country, we have vowed to do our part in curbing it. Diabetes is a disease that can go undetected, and hence patients may not get the treatment at the right time. Which is why it calls for a strong awareness program spanning throughout the nation.

With the Beat Diabetes Program, we have encouraged people to get blood glucose check-ups done at regular intervals. People at risk of developing diabetes are then advised to contact a doctor for better assessment.

NCD Screening

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) include a broad category of long-term diseases like Diabetes, Hypertension, Cardiovascular Diseases (CVD), Stroke, and Cancers.

NCDs are the primary reasons for mortality and morbidity attributing to more than 63% of all global deaths and middle-income countries like India contribute to 90% of preventable, premature deaths due to NCDs

Tuver Health & Wellness Centre Program Program

With a vision to provide sustainable, comprehensive and quality health care services, the University of Pittsburgh (UoP), Business of Humanity (BoH) in association with Apollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation (ATNF), Safe World Rural Services (SRS), and Narottam Lal Bhai Rural Development Fund (NLRDF) has initiated Tuver Health & Wellness Centre (THWC) project. The THWC project is a component of DC HEaRT initiative and envisages to promote health and wellness among the rural communities in and around Tuver village, Gujarat. The THWC project is unique, as it is a combination of health care and digital services. It not only looks at improving access but also aims at achieving self-sustainability, especially with the inclusion of DC power. The final goal of the project is to empower the “bottom of the pyramid” individuals, to improve quality of life and contribute towards overall development.
