On 19th January 2023, 13 years old boy was brought to Apollo TeleHealth center at Bharmour with the chief complaints of red rashes over the face & hands for the past two days. There is no relevant previous medical history. The paramedics took the initial assessment and recorded the vitals as pulse – 80 beats/min, BP – 100/60 mmHg, Spo2 – 98%, and temperature 98.2 °F.
Paramedics organized a Teleconsultation with a dermatologist. After a complete assessment, a provisional diagnosis of Photo-dermatitis was given. The doctor prescribed a Tablet Cetirizine 10 mg, one tablet twice daily, and topical application of Calosoft AF 10 ml lotion twice daily for one week, and a topical application of momate 15 g twice daily for one week. The doctor advised the boy to maintain proper personal hygiene, bathe twice daily with lukewarm water, and regularly moisturize the skin & avoid scratching the lesions. During follow-up, there was a significant improvement in the skin condition. The boy’s parents thanked the facility for the proper diagnosis & guidance.
